Automated "Engineer to Order" Solution
DMD Technologies worked with a mid-sized manufacturing
facility to automate the order engineering process. The
solution processes custom orders, generates engineering
drawings and Bill of Materials for the orders, and loads the
information into the ERP system. The solution processes 80% of
orders automatically, while routing exceptions to appropriate
staff for resolution. DMD Technologies' solution significantly
reduces the number of days in the ordering process.
Test Facilities
We implemented a multi-phased project to manage a large
turbine engine test facility. The solution provides
configuration and process control for test products and test
facilities. The solution required process improvements, the
integration of peripherals, and business systems to manage a
holistic view of each test managed. New efficiencies and
improved forecasting allow the customer to meet operational
improvement goals.
Order Configuration Management
DMD Technologies helped a large telecommunications equipment
manufacturer develop a strategy for consolidating 10+ systems
into an efficient order engineering solution. The overall goal
was to improve throughput and reduce costs.
The design provides a closed-loop process that included sales,
order engineering, and product development in order to build
an overall "city pair" configuration across orders.
Enterprise Knowledge Management
We helped a leading chemical products company implement an
enterprise content and work management solution for over 40
critical business functions. The solution provides a menu of
functionality that can be custom configured to the individual
business function. The overall application provides
functionality for knowledge management, document vaulting,
imaging, workflow, electronic forms, and program management.
The initiative generates a 4x yearly return on the initial

Field Service
DMD Technologies worked with an organization to improve
communication and information access for field service
personnel that were responsible for implementing large
telecommunication equipment. The solution required
retrofitting the system into a diverse set of pre-existing
systems. Our team salvaged a multi-month, run-on project in 8
